Day thirteen - Saturday

This will be a shorter blog post than normal, as quite late and need to get up early tomorrow! Day started with a very satisfactory lie in, up at 1230... Lazy breakfast (/lunch) and then got the violin out again, 2 hours of practice. Really enjoying it, doing some broken thirds, again sounding much better. I'm still at the stage where everytime I practice I notice improvements, like when taking up any skill/sport. There's a learning curve that's steep initially, with rapid improvements, but sure will flatten out soon enough, meaning further improvements will be much harder to attain.
I do love the smell of Coffee in the morning...
After that watched a bit of shinty on BBC Alba, commented in gaelic. Pretty mental sport, bit like a cross between hockey and how Happy Gilmore plays golf. Basically there's a net at both ends, each player has a stick and objective is to put the ball in the goal. Unlike hockey however they can play the ball in the air, meaning sticks flying around at head level with players running towards each other... Lots of injuries ensue, although surprisingly few players wear helmets.

Trip to Morrisons, then a chat with John as he popped down to change a bulb in my room. He recommended some routes that I should try and do while in the area, and I filled him in on my cragging trip up Garbh Bhein. He also offered a tour of the Lochaber MR team base, so I'll have to fit that in at some point.
The Belford Hospital, Fort William
Chilled out, had some dinner then headed over to the hospital at 2000 for a film. Everyone was pretty dead, watching Harry Potter IV on TV when I arrived. Eleanor then offered to make everyone a cup of tea - chilled out Saturday night then, instead of last week's back-to-first-year drinking session! After Potter finished we attempted to watch Dodgeball on the big TV downstairs, but retreated to the lounge of the doctors accomodation after unsuccessfully trying to get some volume. Pretty funny, some brilliant lines. Lift back with Tom and hit the hay, gonna go in tomorrow, see what happens on a Sunday.
